Kaaviya Thalaivan Review

Tamil Nadu - A state whose people r often being mocked at for having made their actors as Chief Ministers or dream them as their future CMs !

Well whoever mocks, they should also know the fact that this was a state where patriotism was spread in the Pre-Independence era mostly through stage plays & people took, whatever their actors say, to their hearts & followed it in the struggle against freed...om! The same practice of hero worshipping follows henceforth!

#KaaviyaThalaivan - The bygone culture of stage play lives & how they impacted freedom struggle have been catered so well to the current generation with a script mildly based on the lives of yester yr legends!

Though Prithviraj often says in the film that he is being used as a 'side character', in reality, he is the show stealer! Siddharth gives top notch performances often though underplays (as in Jigarthanda)at times giving screen space to others!! Vedhika is the 'wow' factor & surprises every1 at how good she can act given a chance !

Nirav Shah's painting kinda camera work & Rahman's old style music adds colorful flavor to the feast.

Though the film has all these plus factors & received only a very few 'kindals & kalaais' from the audience, Vasanthabalan fails a little as we don’t feel or emote for the characters at the end!

It could be called as an awesome feast but with no lingering taste in our tongues after its done!
